Arrest Made in Fairground Road Shooting

The Montgomery Police Department has made an arrest in the Wednesday, Oct. 5, shooting death of 41-year- old Tyler Sasser of Montgomery.

MPD detectives charged Rodrick Senderson Jr., 22, of Montgomery with one count of murder. Senderson was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals.

Following his arrest, he was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he was being held under a $300,000 bond.

On Oct. 5 at about 10 p.m. MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 3500 block of Fairground Road after receiving a report of a subject shot. There, they located Sasser, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional information is available for release relative to this ongoing investigation.
