Trojan netters bound for ITA Championship in Tuscaloosa
TROY, Ala. (troytrojans.com) – Three members of the Troy women’s tennis team travel to Tuscaloosa to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southern Regional Championship Oct. 14-17. Making the trip for the Trojans are juniors Sanae Ohta, Nancy Karaky and Efriliya Herlina.
Matches begin Friday morning at 9 a.m. with the first round of doubles followed by the first and second rounds of singles beginning at 10:15 a.m.
Ohta and Herlina will be the sole doubles team representing the Trojans. The duo is set to face a pair from Samford in the A Flight for doubles. Match time is set for 9 a.m.
All three players will compete in the A Singles main draw with 10:15 a.m. match times on Friday. Herlina will face Sarah Jurakova of McNeese State. Karaky will take on Ellie Gerlach of Samford, and Ohta is set to face Caroline Drescher of Southern Miss.
