Tuskegee sophomores snare SIAC POTWs

ATLANTA (goldentigersports.com) —  The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) released their weekly award winners in volleyball this afternoon, with a pair of Tuskegee University student-athletes earning an award.

Sophomore Zahria Radford was named the SIAC Defensive Player of the Week award winner after helping Tuskegee to a 1-1 mark last week with a 3-0 win over Miles and a 3-0 setback to Montevallo. She finished the week with 38 digs including 28 against Miles, averaging 6.33 per set. Radford recorded four aces and a pair of assists.

Meanwhile, sophomore Janae Graham was named the SIAC Setter of the Week award winner after she finished with her second double-double of the season when she recorded 31 assists and 10 digs against Miles. She also added 15 assists and five digs against Montevallo.

Tuskegee (10-14, 10-6 SIAC) returns to action Saturday against Clark Atlanta University in SIAC action. The match starts at 12 noon (est) in Atlanta.
