Governor’s Mansion Offers Christmas Candlelight Tours

The Christmas season is in full swing in Montgomery. Governor Bentley helped light the Christmas tree at the capital steps last week. Now, he is opening his home to candlelight tours for the first three Mondays in December.

Starting December 5th, the Governor’s Mansion and the neighboring Farley-Hill House will be open to the public for guided candlelight tours for the holidays. There will be choir performances each week, starting with Montgomery’s Trinity Presbyterian Children’s Choir on December 5th. The Forest Avenue Academic Magnet Elementary School Choir from Montgomery will perform on December 12th. On December 19th, there will be performances by the Oxford Christian School Choir and “The Footnotes” from the Alabama School of Law.

Tours run from 5:30pm until 7:30pm on December 5th, 12th, and 19th. Tickets are free, and are available at the Finley Ave. Gift Shop.
