Church of the Highlands Celebrates New Facility

After more than six years of waiting, Church of the Highlands Montgomery Campus finally has a permanent building
After years of waiting, Church of the Highlands Montgomery Campus finally has a permanent building to call home.
Church of the Highlands was in the Montgomery Performing Arts Center for six and a half years before moving to this new location on Taylor Road. The building came in under budget and was finished ahead of schedule, and Pastor Chris Erwin says the new facility is completely paid off already. He’s excited to finally give his church family a permanent place to worship.
“I think we’ve learned how to do portable pretty good, but there’s nothing like having a place to hang your hat,” says Erwin. “I mean, we have our own parking spots, we have our own thermostats, we have our own lighting! And the team loves that, our volunteers love being able to just participate in having their own building.”
Erwin says the first Sunday in the permanent building drew nearly 4,000 people in the first three services. This campus is unique; Erwin says they’re offering a 4:30 PM service on Sunday afternoons, along with the three morning services.
The Montgomery Campus can be found at 4255 Taylor Road. To learn more about Church of the Highlands, click here.
