ICYMI: Candlelight Vigil Held for Burned-Out Taco Bell

About 100 people gathered with candles on Sunday night for a vigil to remember the Taco Bell restaurant on Zelda Road in Montgomery. As Alabama News Network was the first to show you, the restaurant burned in a fire during last week’s snowstorm on Wednesday.

For some people, this vigil was a tongue-in-cheek affair. But others were seriously saddened to see this particular Taco Bell meet its demise. They say the combination of its location just off Interstate 85, its late-night hours and the quality of its food and customer service made it a must-visit place to eat.

Right now, investigators don’t know what started the fire, which caused the roof to collapse over the kitchen. There are plans to rebuild it, which is a relief to the restaurant’s long-time fans.
