State Gets an “F” for Almost All Tobacco Laws
Grades given by Lung Association.
Alabama gets a “D” in the category of being a “state (that) has increased the age at which stores can sell tobacco products to people to age 21. Increasing the minimum age of sale to 21 will decrease smoking by kids. And that’s the BEST grade the state earned.
All of the other Alabama grades were “F”.
