Two Killed in Mass Shooting in Troy Identified

On Saturday, August 15, five people were shot at Pike County Cattleman’s Complex. Police say the shooting happened around 2 A.M.

Two of the five victims died from the shooting.

Devonta Givens, 25, of Troy and Jhakyndall Johnson, 25, of Troy both died as result of injuries from the shooting. Johnson was transferred by ambulance to Dothan Hospital where he died. Givens, transported by vehicle, died at Troy Regional Hospital.

One of the other victims is listed in stable condition. The other two victims were taken to Troy Regional Hospital with one being confirmed to be released.

Givens and Johnson’s bodies were taken to to forensics to have an autopsy.

No arrests have been made at this time.
