Hurricane Sally Upgraded to Category 2 Storm

Hurricane Sally strengthened to a Category 2 storm. The storm has 100-mph winds.

Threatening Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, the storm has potential for two feet of rain. It is one of five storms churning simultaneously in the Atlantic.

The storm is on a track that would take it past the tip of southeast Louisiana on a track toward the Mississippi-Alabama state line late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
