  The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says troopers investigated 22 traffic deaths during the 2019 Christmas-New Year’s holiday travel period. Montgomery police say a woman was shot at about 9:30 p.m. New Year’s Eve. It happened in the 3500 block of Norman Bridge Rd. Downtown Countdown Rings in 2019 in Montgomery

Hundreds of people braved rainy conditions to welcome 2019 at Riverwalk Stadium in downtown Montgomery.
