Today has been a fairly typical day in terms of afternoon heat accompanied by rain and storms. Tropical Storm Fred has regained strength in the Gulf and is expected to make landfall along the Florida Gulf Coast sometime between Monday night into Tuesday morning.

The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Fred made landfall around 2PM CDT Monday near Cape San Blas, Florida. It had winds of around 65 mph.
